Well earlier this year I finished the PhD, as you can read below of course, and started looking for jobs. Not necessarily linked to my PhD, but engineering all the same. Well I'm glad to say Ive found a home in Glasgow University, as part of the newly formed Renewable Energy Technology research group - investigating .... renewable energy technologies. Surprise there!
Other points to note - I have a nice rented flat up here near the Campsie fells and I've met a few nice local MTBers (15 or so lol) and I've been out for a few rides with them, showng my total lack of fitness. I've got a target planned and I'll be following my progress on here soon, when I've created the plugin for the site to track it with decent stats for my own interest really. I've also just turned the commuter back into an XC bike, but this time its a singlespeed:
Not been kitesurfing for AGES now, and my poor celica is still sat SORN'd and awaiting a decision about whether to turn it into a track going/rally replica monster or whether to just sell/leave it. I have no drive up here, I have nowhere to work on it yet. Im looking for a hoose but that may be some time off yet!
